Have 30 years of Word Perfect Files so I have been running VM Ware on my iMAC & my MACBook Pro just so I could load WPD files save then=m and then open them in Word. This solves a clunky way I have been working. Quick easy and no long instructions to read.
I converted almost 1000 word perfect files in just a few minutes. I haven’t checked all conversions but the ones I checked converted nicely. Most formatting was maintained. I had been saving my old windows computer just in case I needed to access these files. Can’t wait to take it to recycling, good bye Windows!!!
I was able to convert 3500 .wpd files to .docx in a few minutes. Format was perfect and opened in Word for Mac without any problems. If you have a lot of old WordPerfect files, which are difficult to open in Word for Mac, this App is a must. Batch conversion is even an added bonus! Thank you WPD Converter :)
I’m an attorney, and prior to opening my own shop, my old office used Word Perfect. I had many important documents and old client files that were a pain to convert and edit because when we switched to Macs. I puchased this APP and its a BREEZE to convert files to Word. Super fast, super easy, and very little cost. This App rocks.
WPD Converter downloaded quickly and easily. I had a whole cd full of Word Perfect documents and I dropped them all into the program at once. The files were converted quickly and accurately. They are exported to the same file folder structure that they came in so things were organized and easy to find after the conversion. I used it to convert both to PDF and to Word and found it excellent in both cases.

I’ve had several hundred wpd files from 30 years ago. I’ve been sad that I couldn’t look at them. I just did a batch of about 800 in the past hour. So glad to have access easily now.

Works Perfectly!
I converted .wpd files to .docx and this app worked super fast and the formatting is just as I remembered. It's free and, so far, I haven't hit any ads, which is a blessing. And the app doesn't play the gme of converting the files, only for you to find out AFTERWARD that to download them you have to pay. This is a great app. Highly recommend.
Chooses only the files it wants to convert
Working with 1990s Word Perfect files on my MacBook Pro OSX 14.7.2, I copied 45 word perfect files to a new folder, and added the .wpd extension (using Adobe Bridge>Tools>Batch Rename. the program selected only the files it wanted to convert from my .wpd. No matter how I tried—dragging the folder, selecting files inside the app, etc. I noticed that it listed 17 files, I thought it was selecting only the first 17, but then I noticed they were not in order at all, and that the app kept listing a particular 17... Getting a refund.
WorksPerfectly for me
I have some older writing files I needed to update. I used to have MS Word, but since retiring, I no longer have access to it (for free). This is a much more affordable option. It converted the old wpd files perfectly and I could easily open them in Pages. Well worth the money spent.
Couldn't get it to work
I couldn't get this to work at all in Sonoma. Nothing happens when I try to add a file to the conversion list or drag and drop onto the app window. Wasted five dollars.
Nearly Perfect!
Fantastic App! We had over 2,000 files to convert, some up to 150 pages, with extensive formatting and the results were almost perfect! The interface is seamless, the work flow is intuitive, and there are the right amount of user options, such as maintaining the source location/folder or setting a new destination folder. It handled most of our extensive formatting very well, including the Table of Contents, Headers, Footers, Tables, Graphics and Photos. The only glitch was the loss of inserted horizontal lines in the Headers and Footers. This app is a lifesaver for $4.99. So glad to see all those WPD files in the rear-view mirror!

As a retired grad school professor who wrote books, articles, and lectures on (beloved) WordPerfect, I can easily convert these files to docx. The process works quickly on an M2 Mac mini running Ventura. The app is intuitve and easy to use. I cannot say strongly enough how well this app works and what a life-saver it has been for me. Converted perfectly
I had a heap of files from Grad school when I used Word Perfect 5.2 -- and while some of those had been converted to HTML earlier, I still had a lot of papers as WP which I wanted to access. This tool converted everything to Word and to PDF for me, preserving the existing folder structure and dates -- worked great even with superscripted end notes.
Works great and fast
I recently converted hundreds of legal briefs from WordPerfect to Word format. This app worked great. It took only a few minutes to convert all of the documents. I dropped the converted files into my DMS (EagleFIler, another great app). I can now quickly search and open all of these legacy files. I have only had to actually open a few, but so far the formatting seems to be close to perfect.

This works!
I had old WP files going back to 1993, some in WP for Dos format, others in WP for Windows. The app seamlessly converted them to docx format for my Mac.
Converts pre WPD
I have many files from WP 6 or earlier; and these do not show with the extentsion of .wpd. this program converts even these. Keep up the good work.

Works every time
Since the dawn of computers, I was a dedicated WordPerfect fan. But now I use a Mac and no longer have access to WordPerfect. Instead, I have been forced to adapt to Word, which works but not nearly as well as WordPerfect. At least this program allows me to convert my old WordPerfect files to Word when necessary. It works every time, seemlessly and simply. It works so well that a person might forget to appreciate how well it works because it is that reliable. No glitches. No complications. Just drag, drop, convert, go about your business.
Works well, quick
I finally decided to convert all my .wpd files. I needed to establish a history. This works! I pointed it to my documents folder and it extracted everything to the folder I indicated. Less than a minute for a ton of files. I am impressed. I might add, however, that it didn't fix the spelling errors that were in the original document. Bummer. LOL
Invaluable tool
Our office still user the super user friendly WP still and have no plans of switching to Word. However, every now and then we need to convert a WP file to Word and this tool makes that headache a lot less painful. Conversion is seamless most of the time and documents are editable relatively fast and easy. If I could, I'd give it 10 stars : )
Very responsive
I had trouble using the app. Within 24 hours my complaint was answered and I sent one of the files I had been trying to convert. Again, within 24 hours of that email, the company told me why the app would not work and what mysterious platform my files had been created in during the early 90s. The information was well worth the price of the app. I am grateful.
Works Great Everytime For Me - THANKS
Seriously, I used to work with WordPerfect documents daily. I have thousands of them. However, there came a day when Microsoft Office took over and eventually I had to start working with Microsoft office. I didn't want to, but felt the need to do so because so many people around the world were using Microsoft Office instead of WordPerfect. I was frustrated for a while looking for an easy solution for converting my files from WordPerfect to Microsoft office. I finally came across WPD Converter, and decided to pay the $4.99 for it. I have never had an issue with it once, not even once. It has worked perfect for me every time. I'm so thankful that I found it. I can convert scores of files at the same time. I'm so thankful, truly. Yes, I highly recommend it. I am not a robot. I'm just a plain simple person from the mountains of Georgia, and I'm trying to help you if you are having the same problem I used to have in converting WordPerfect into Microsoft office. I trust it works well for you to, as it does for me. I have used it for several years now with no issues.

It has been working great for me! I am a paralegal used to working with Wordperct (which I happen to love), started working from home. Through Sharesync, I am able to access the files on my Mac and convert them to Word as I work on each file. Worth the 4 bucks!!!!

Just freezes and doesn't work at all.
Finally, an answer to my dilemna
I had Paralells on my Macintosh. It worked OK, but suddenly it went down, and I had to replace it with a more modern version . $$$ too much. But I had Word Perfect that needed to be Word. I found this product, and tried it. it works better than Paralells for the needs I have. And the cost was . . . well, very low! I am fully sold on this WPD converter, and recommend it to everyone who needs to change WPD to Word or PDF. Thanks for a great product.

Good software, but crashes
I'm using this to convert years worth of medical records. Unfortunately, it seems to crash every 200-400 files or so. I can reopen and restart, but it's frustrating to do, especially when the rest of the program is so good.
Works super easy
I have one friend (you know who you are) who still insists on using Word Perfect <sigh>. Can't get her to do the conversion in word, so bought this app just for her documents (we are working on a big project together) and it saved us! On Mac IOS it when you open the file, it opens in this app automatically. Seamless. Just do the Export and Viola, there is your file in word in your downloads file. Perfect!
Crashed Everytime
I bought this to convert a batch of wpd documents. It worked for the first 50 or so, but then crashed everytime I time I tried.
Works so far!
I have used it to convert a bunch of WordPerfect files from around 1998-2000. Seems to work great. The final Word files even had some of the old change-tracking stuff in them! Also, very nice user-interface, features (rename, move, open-target folder, etc). Nice work!
Worked instantly and perfectly
I used this app to convert a dozen WordPerfect files created/saved in the 1990’s to docx format. It worked instantly and perfecly. I would highly recommend it.
Software works
Had trouble with WordPerfect files that had been previously run through other software, but when I went the root WP files and converted to MS Word it worked fien and kept the origianl formatting.
Well, it worked for lots of my files, but
Pleadings and long-form film and television agreements did not fare well. (Full of symbols. No actual text.) I keep hoping I will find something that works on ALL of my 35 years of WordPerfect documents.

This is a life-saver. I have thousands of word perfect files that needed to be converted to word so I can use them on my mac and it worked beautifully! Exactly what I was looking for.
Does Not Work
I have a brand new iMac with 64GB of RAM and the fastest processor Apple now offers. I bought and installed this App because I have a lot of old WordPerfect files to convert. It has quit with a variety of errors, five or six or seven times (I’ve lost count) in a row. It NEVER worked correctly, from the get-go. I strongly recommend AGAINST buying this product.
quick conversion
I thought it didn’t work at first so I emailed them. I looked closer a the files that were supposed to be wpd files, and found I had been mis-informed, they were RTF files. MY BAD!!! Once I figured it out, & got the original old Floppy Disk with the original WPD files, it was super fast. They have quick response to customer service questions . The BATCH file part is REALLY QUICK!!! Well worth the money.
DId not work
DId not convert my word perfect files correctly to either word.docx or pdf. I couldn’t open the word.docx files at all once they were converted and the pdf files only had parts of my word perfect material in it. I’d like a refund please!
Will not read my old WordPerfect files.
Which makes it entirely useless. I just spent $4.99 on absolutely nothing.
